Spatial Biodiversity Action Plan released!

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham has produced a Spatial Biodiversity Action Plan for the River Don and the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation Canals based on years of extensive ecological surveys. The report maps the distribution of species and habitats along the river and canal corridor, highlighting priority sites for biodiversity conservation and enhancement. The document provides a framework for all stakeholders to work together to help our waterways
to achieve their potential as the focal point of Sheffield and Rotherham; attractive wildlife havens, rich in biodiversity and a resource for the whole community.
