RIVER STEWARDSHIP PACKAGE

For any organisation that operates along or close by the River Don from Neepsend to Tinsley the River Stewardship Package is perfect for you. We will work with you and undertake an initial assessment of your requirements. Once these needs have been established together we would formulate the right package that will deliver your needs.

An annual fee is payable, based upon the assessment and framework agreed by both parties. This will ensure that your riverside environment is clean with regular patrols from the River Stewards and removal of all litter.

We will operate a telephone hotline if you need to report and incidents such as fly tipping, flood debris, vandalism and graffiti. We guarantee to respond to your request for action within 3 working days. We anticipate that this will contribute significantly to a reduction in crime and vandalism affecting your premises and the surrounding area. Ultimately this will create a much more inviting area encouraging other business development potential into the area.

For all companies taking the River Stewardship Package we can build in Team Building Days. This will give your employees the opportunity to work on projects, training and other activities that involve the river. Employees will benefit from the ‘feel good’ factor of working on improvements to their external working environment. They can see and utilise the fruits of their labour during their breaks, lunch hour or even to hold meetings. We can work with you to offer other activities such as canoeing, boat trips and specialist team or personal development workshops.

We offer specialist landscape services such as removing invasive vegetation, advice on habitat management and improvements – the amount needed will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

We will support you wherever possible to demonstrate your green credentials. We will offer opportunities to promote your involvement through public relations, website links, you will receive a riverside plaque stating your involvement and wherever possible you will be credited as being a ‘friend’ in marketing materials.
