Seasonal Field Operatives – INNS Treatment Fixed Term Contracts earliest start April – ending October

We are recruiting Field Operatives to join our team delivering Invasive Non‑Native Species (INNS) treatment along waterways.
This is a physically active, outdoor role that involves working in variable conditions, walking long distances, and using pedestrian hand‑held spray equipment. It’s ideal for people who enjoy practical environmental work and being part of a motivated field team.
The Role
- Treating INNS along rivers and waterways
- Walking an average of 8km (5 miles) per day over uneven terrain
- Carrying and operating a spray knapsack
- Working to daily productivity targets
- Following safe systems of work and supervisor instructions
Essential Certification
- PA6 AW Certificate, or Lantra Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides using Pedestrian Hand‑Held Equipment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Safe Working Near Water or Safe Working in Water
Person Specification
- Physically fit and able to complete long-distance walking while carrying equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to maintain productivity and meet daily targets
- Reliable, safety‑focused, and able to follow instructions
- Works well as part of a team
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 4:00pm (42.5hrs per week)
- Overtime may be available
Location
- Working from our Leeds unit (LS10) and covering waterways in Yorkshire
Rate of Pay
- £13.45 per hour
