River Restoration Project - Ebsford Environmental

Jul 27, 2022

Sub-contracting to Ebsford Environmental, we delivered a programme of tree felling and stump grinding, brushwood faggot creation and planting of marginal wetland species at Cannon Hall Museum Park and Gardens, Barnsley.

Part of the work was delivered through a programme of 28 volunteer days, involving local residents, Friends Of groups, work placements from Barnsley Job Centre and corporate teams from local businesses. The work forms part of the Heritage Lottery-Funded project ‘Restoring the Glory, Revealing the Secrets’, which includes restoration of the Georgian lakes on the Daking Brook to their former cultural and natural glory.
