Lilly Desmond Named Regional Finalist in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2025

We are pleased to share that Lilly Desmond, our multi-channel marketing apprentice, has been named a regional finalist in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2025. Lilly has been shortlisted in the Rising Star of the Year category for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Reaching the regional finals is a significant achievement, showcasing Lilly’s hard work, creativity, and determination. If successful at this stage, Lilly will progress to the national finals later this year.

Lilly’s Journey

Since joining us as a multi-channel marketing apprentice, Lilly has embraced every opportunity to develop her skills and apply them in real-world projects. From delivering creative campaigns to supporting wider marketing initiatives, she has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, fresh ideas, and a willingness to learn.

Her ability to adapt quickly, take initiative, and bring energy to every project has not only contributed to her own growth but has also had a lasting impact on our organisation. Lilly’s journey is a clear example of how apprenticeships can open doors, provide practical experience, and build the foundations for a successful career.

Recognition of Potential

The Rising Star of the Year award specifically celebrates apprentices who have made impressive progress in their early career, showing the potential to become future leaders in their field. Lilly’s shortlisting reflects the dedication she has shown since day one of her apprenticeship, as well as the positive influence she has had on those around her.

Speaking about her achievement, Lilly said:

“I’m honoured to be recognised as a finalist in the Rising Star category. My apprenticeship has given me incredible opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute in meaningful ways. I’ve been able to work on exciting projects, gain confidence, and develop skills that will benefit me throughout my career. I’m so grateful for the support from my colleagues and mentors, who have encouraged me every step of the way.”

Our Commitment to Apprenticeships

We are extremely proud of Lilly’s success and the recognition she has received through these awards. As an organisation, we are committed to supporting apprenticeships as a vital pathway into employment, offering people the chance to earn while they learn, develop valuable skills, and build rewarding careers.

Apprentices like Lilly are a shining example of the impact apprenticeships can have, not just on individuals, but on organisations and industries as a whole.

Looking Ahead

The winners of the regional finals will be announced in the coming weeks. If successful, Lilly will go forward to the national finals.

We wish Lilly the very best of luck in the regional final and are proud to have her representing our organisation, Yorkshire and the Humber, and the future of apprenticeships.
