Upping Your Health & Wellbeing with Walks in Sheffield

If you need to exercise, wide river and canal paths are ideal, providing you follow guidelines. Waterways are also a place of calm in this busy world. Could rivers help your health and wellbeing?

Mindfulness in Nature

It's OK to be stressed and anxious, particularly in these difficult times. Mindfulness can help bring you out of anxious thoughts; we particularly like this 'leaves on a stream' video exercise.

The Blue Loop

Incorporating the Five Weirs Walk and covering 8 miles of the River Don and Sheffield & Tinsley Canal, this fabulous waterway loop is a great place to walk, run or cycle safely, as long as you follow government guidelines.

The Upper Don Trail

If you're fortunate to live closeby, Beeley Wood, Wharncliffe Wood and the Upper Don Trail provide boast some fantastic wide paths all the way to Dunford Bridge; a great place for a daily cycle. We've mapped the whole path below, but encourage you to pick a short section.
